We opened the meeting by sharing stories of things members did over the summer. There were a lot of funny stories.

The club show will be October First, and the October meeting will be the Auction.

Peer awards were introduced. If a member does something worthy of recognition, such as a free hospital show, he or she can be nominated for a Peer award. The officers will take a majority vote, and if accepted that person will be given a certificate and public recognition at the next club meeting.

The theme was Rice Bowl magic. We formed two teams: The Young Bang Guns were John Daley, Alex Armor, and Julian Flamant. The Dye Tubes were Rick Silver, Evan Reynolds, and Doyne Michie. Paul Sponaugle was the MC and asked magical trivia questions. The Dye Tubes won the contest with 148 points to 100 points. The audience made a rousing show of third place, however.

John Doyley performed afterwards doing a rope trick. He made a knot appear in a rope and also flipped a knot into the rope.
